About the Artist

As a child, Munch was obsessed with reading, writing, art, music.
Growing up in the New York Metropolis, his perspective was shaped by the city as well as some sand and culture down the road: the Hamptons. Jackson Pollock was an early influence — a guide and mentor in spirit.
As a merchant marine in his early twenties, Munch's scope expanded geometrically — with oceans explored leading to a world decorated with different cultures...globally expatiating the colors of his mental horizon.
In 1989, he founded Donaudy Munch Marketing Communications, which became one of the most creative and lucrative ad agencies of its time and place. Winning hundreds of awards, Munch was a creative force, earning awards in the domains of TV, radio, print, magazine, illustration, direct mail, web. His clients were the biggest names in their respective fields.
Since then, painting is his passion — and he has sold to collectors throughout the years. His first Rock Star commission was Jerry Garcia.
Currently, Munch spends his days creating — and with his family.
He recently had a major VIP-only art event at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Tampa, Florida. 70 original Munch "Rock Star" paintings were featured at the solo event: "Rocktober Art Show." Hard Rock, the world's greatest collector of R&R memorabilia, purchased 10 limited edition pieces for the event.
Munch's unique style of painting (with sponges and knives — no paint brushes) enables him to form exotic, truly masterful works of fine art.
He unmasks every original work with three steadfast objectives: creativity, colors, concept.
Munch's myriad blending of colors is but one of his dramatic trademarks.
